An interesting development in the retail sector, where John Lewis are running an open innovation competition to find ideas for “catapulting the retail shopping experience into the future”.

Called JLAB, the process will give five startups £12,500, office space, access to data and APIs and mentorship. A winner from the five will be chosen, and will receive £100,000 and the opportunity to supply John Lewis.
